• Study of semi-solid dosage forms for topical applications, rectal formulations and permeation tests in vitro and ex-vivo.
• Development of solid dosage forms for oral administration (powders, granules, tablets), in particular formulation and characterization of gelling matrix tablets for delayed-release and mucoadhesive tablets.
• Design of innovative systems for the delivery of poorly soluble drugs, especially formulation of self-emulsifying drug delivery systems.
• Study of wet granulation process in low and high shear mixers in cooperation with the Group “Advanced Particle Technology Laboratory” of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Padua University.
• Sol-gel biocompatible silica based micro- and nano-solutions for the controlled (accelerated or slow) release of low and high molecular weight bioactives.
• Development of multi-functional nanoparticle formulations using the proprietary Avidin Nucleic Acid Nano ASsembly (ANANAS) technology, for high performance in vivo and in vitro diagnostics and targeted drug delivery.
• Regulatory affairs.
• Technological and formulative study for the production of radiopharmaceuticals in the framework of the SPES (Selective Production of Exotic Species) project in cooperation with Legnaro National Laboratories of the Nuclear Physics National Institute.
